Cypress is a naturally decay-resistant wood and it naturally regenerates a new sapling from a root system. Heartwood only purchases cypress that has been harvested in accordance with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) guidelines. The entry is inset into the wood and surrounded by an asymmetrical opening in the outer layer of the home. This design mimics openings found in trees, for a more natural roost for your birds.
